Reality Star Treasure Thompson Steps into the Spotlight with Powerful New Film Hood to Hollywood
After years of growth, reflection, and transformation, Treasure Thompson is stepping back into the spotlight — this time on her own terms. The reality star and actress, best known for her appearances on The Real Blac Chyna (Zeus Network) and Rob & Chyna (E! Network), is taking her story from Hood to Hollywood in a raw new film that captures more than just a reunion — it captures evolution.
Produced by Hungerford Films and Iconek Films, Hood to Hollywood stars and is executive produced by Treasure alongside Brian Hungerford, Schenika Quattlebaum, and Dr. Bonita Parker. The film marks Treasure’s first on-camera reunion with her former best friend Angela White (Blac Chyna) after five years of silence, a moment both personal and powerfully public.
But for Treasure, this isn’t about revisiting the past — it’s about reclaiming her narrative. “This moment isn’t about drama — it’s about healing,” she shares. “We’ve both grown, and it was important for me to have an honest, heart-to-heart conversation that shows how forgiveness and understanding can create peace.”
Unscripted and unfiltered, Hood to Hollywood takes viewers beyond the headlines and into an authentic exchange between two women who once shared everything — and lost touch in front of the world. It’s an intimate look at how fame, friendship, and personal growth intersect, and how resilience can redefine the meaning of sisterhood.
As an actress, writer, and executive producer under Hungerford Management Group, Treasure is using her platform to champion transparency and emotional truth. Her creative direction ensures that Hood to Hollywood reflects more than entertainment — it’s a statement of empowerment and a mirror for anyone seeking closure and growth.
“This project is about evolution — both mine and Angela’s,” Treasure adds. “It’s a reminder that even when life takes you in different directions, healing is possible.”
Beyond Hood to Hollywood, Treasure continues to expand her creative footprint with a growing list of film projects, including Unhinged Love, The Shop, HER (mini-series, post-production), When Fatal Attraction Hits Home (feature film, pre-production), and Teach Me How To Cheat (short film, pre-production). Each role underscores her emergence as a multifaceted storyteller determined to inspire through authenticity and purpose.
Hood to Hollywood will be available soon exclusively on Tubi, offering viewers a candid look at reconciliation, self-discovery, and the kind of growth that only comes from facing the truth — no scripts, no filters, just Treasure.
The Welcome Black Collection is couture with teeth — rich fabrics, daring silhouettes, and a narrative rooted in strength and legacy. It’s a reminder that luxury isn’t about playing it safe. It’s about stepping into a room and owning it.
This season, he’s doubling down on that ethos. Alongside Welcome Black, Kas is spotlighting W.E.T. (With Exceptional Taste) — a line that challenges every outdated idea of who gets to wear what. “I wanted to disrupt the idea that fashion has to be gendered,” Kas says. “W.E.T. is about attitude, not anatomy. It’s a line that empowers anyone to feel bold, unapologetic, and exceptional — regardless of labels.”

WHO: Stephen & Ayesha Curry, Martin Luther King III & Arndrea Waters King, Chris Helfrich, CEO of Eat. Learn. Play., Craig Kielburger, Co-Founder of Realize the Dream
WHAT: On Tuesday September 2nd, Stephen and Ayesha Curry's Eat. Learn. Play. joined Martin Luther King III and Arndrea Waters King to bring the Realize the Dream initiative to Oakland with a powerful day of service at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School. The event launched what will be a long-term partnership that combines the Currys' deep commitment to their hometown of Oakland with Realize the Dream's nationwide movement to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service, connection and community building. Stephen and Ayesha were named Chief Dream Ambassadors of Realize the Dream, kicking off the collaboration with a pledge of 100,000 volunteer hours to uplift Oakland's youth and neighborhoods. This commitment is part of Realize the Dream's broader national mission to mobilize 100 million hours of service by 2029—the 100th anniversary of Dr. King's birth. Together, their commitment underscores Eat. Learn. Play.'s mission to provide every child in Oakland with access to safe spaces to play, nutritious food and quality education, while also inspiring acts of service across the country. Since 2021, Eat. Learn. Play. has engaged over 4,000 volunteers who have collectively contributed more than 30,000 hours of service across schoolyard builds, the Eat. Learn. Play. Bus and special annual community events such as Christmas with the Currys—demonstrating how hands-on support directly transforms lives in Oakland.
MLK Elementary marks the 21st Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) schoolyard transformation completed by Eat. Learn. Play., a milestone that not only revitalizes a campus but also honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through Realize the Dream. The school itself holds a special place in the King family history, as Coretta Scott King visited the school in 1972. Volunteers turned the school into a vibrant hub of joy, learning and play by installing two new kid-designed playgrounds, multi-sport courts, soccer goals, murals and ground art and an Eat. Learn. Play. Little Town Library filled with culturally affirming books. New gardens and green spaces provide areas for exploration and outdoor learning, reinforcing the belief that every child deserves access to inspiring environments that foster growth and creativity. This service work represents not only the transformation of a schoolyard but also the beginning of a deeper, long-term investment in Oakland's youth, connecting local action to a national call for service and community building.
WHY: The partnership between Realize the Dream and Eat. Learn. Play. demonstrates how legacy, service and community investment come together to create meaningful and lasting change, and Eat. Learn. Play., KABOOM!, and Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) continue to partner to provide opportunities for kids in Oakland to have equitable and safe access to play and physical activity. With the completion of the MLK Jr. Elementary schoolyard, Eat. Learn. Play has revitalized 21 schoolyards in partnership with KABOOM! and OUSD. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary is the fourth of six schoolyard remodels planned this year at elementary schools across Oakland and the 21st build overall. These builds are part of Eat. Learn. Play.’s vision to rebuild 25 schoolyards by the end of this school year.

Looking ahead, HCES hopes to expand this work and welcomes future opportunities for partnership through sponsorships, donations, or fundraising efforts, allowing even more educators, students and schools to benefit from the collective support.

The Estate of Multi-Platinum Recording Artist Mo3 Wins Big in Jury Verdict for Copyright Infringement Lawsuit Against Former Sound Engineer
DALLAS, Texas – The Estate of Melvin Noble, Jr., known globally as the multi-platinum recording artist Mo3, secured a significant victory in a lawsuit against former sound engineer, Ray Gene Bollin, Jr., doing business as Absolut Production Recording Studios in all the Estate’s claims, including copyright infringement, conversion, and tortious interference with contract. The case, heard in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas under Civil Action No. 4:23-cv-00716, concluded with a decisive verdict in favor of the Estate after a week-long trial (and just under two hours of deliberations), affirming Mo3's sole ownership and control over his invaluable vocal recordings.
The jury's verdict underscores the inherent rights of artists to their creative works, rejecting any claims by Bollin to co-ownership or co-authorship of Mo3's sound recordings. The judgment not only awards the Estate monetary damages but also ensures the cancellation of any copyright registrations previously filed by Bollin containing Mo3’s vocal performance. This decision is a pivotal moment not only for Mo3 but also in the fight for protecting the rights of all musical artists and creators against unauthorized claims by individuals within the recording industry ecosystem. The outcome of this trial is a significant step in preserving the artistic legacy of Mo3 for his three minor children, ensuring they benefit from the music he passionately created. Mo3’s Estate remains committed to honoring Mo3's memory and contributions to the music world.
The Estate also acknowledges the unwavering, long-term support of Mo3’s distribution partner, Empire Records, in enhancing and extending Mo3's legacy. Their ongoing collaboration has been instrumental in ensuring that Mo3's music continues to reach and inspire audiences worldwide. Finally, the Estate expresses profound gratitude to its trial team, comprised of Brent A. Turman, Troy L. Hales, and Meredith N. Palmer of Bell Nunnally's Entertainment Litigation practice, along with former Assistant U.S. Attorney T.J. Johnson and the Estate’s copyright attorney, Tamera H. Bennett of Harper & Bates LLP. Their dedication and expertise were instrumental in achieving this remarkable victory for Noble’s children.

This impactful event brought together more than 300 volunteers to outfit the school with a new schoolyard featuring a nature exploration area, a new and improved library stocked as part of the NBA Cares State Farm Assist Tracker program, with culturally affirming books and a refreshed cafeteria to provide joyful, high-quality environments where kids eat, learn and play every day. Revitalizing and transforming the school’s campus, while also providing students with nutritious food and tutoring support, demonstrates Eat. Learn. Play.’s innovative ‘Whole Child, Whole School’ approach, designed to foster student success by addressing both their individual well-being and the environments where they learn and grow.
“We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment that nurtures their well-being and fuels their academic success,” said Stephen and Ayesha Curry. “We are amazed at the work that our village of volunteers completed in order to make this our largest schoolyard build. We’re committed to a ‘Whole Child, Whole School’ approach that helps us best support the needs of Oakland’s students and ensure they have access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.”
Eat. Learn. Play. collaborated with leadership and students at East Oakland Pride Elementary and focused on revitalizing key areas. Volunteers planted trees, shrubs and garden beds; created a nature exploration area; painted murals; and built tree benches in the schoolyard. Additionally, the cafeteria underwent a transformation with fresh paint, murals and new furnishings to create a welcoming multi-purpose space for students; the library was enhanced with new furniture, shelving, lighting, fresh paint and additional books to inspire a love of reading; and the gym and multi-purpose room were upgraded with new flooring, murals, improved lighting, sound systems and new sports equipment to promote physical activity and teamwork.
“This 2025 NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service is an incredible example of what can be achieved when strong partnerships come together with a shared vision,” said Chris Helfrich, CEO of Eat. Learn. Play. “By transforming schools into vibrant, supportive spaces and addressing the fundamental needs of every child, we are working to break down barriers to success and build a brighter future for Oakland’s youth.”
Kaiser Permanente has been a longtime partner of Eat. Learn. Play. since its inception in 2019. The non-profit healthcare organization has been a vital supporter of the many schoolyard transformations across the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), ensuring students have access to vibrant, inspiring and well-equipped environments. For more than five years, Kaiser Permanente and Eat. Learn. Play. have invested in improving the health outcomes for Oakland students by providing them with access to safe and clean drinking water, nutritious food at school and through the Eat. Learn. Play. Bus and safe places to play and be active—including revitalizing schoolyards and hosting the Oakland Marathon’s Kids Fun Run.
“Improving the health of the communities we serve is core to Kaiser Permanente’s mission, and we are committed to ensuring Oakland students have access to healthy food and safe places to play and stay active,” said Yvette Radford, Vice President of External and Community Affairs at Kaiser Permanente Northern California. “Through our ongoing partnership with Eat. Learn. Play., we are working to improve the overall well-being of Oakland families—mind, body, and spirit.”
Built on more than five years of work supporting Oakland students and public schools, this Eat. Learn. Play.’s ‘Whole Child, Whole School’ approach reframes how the foundation serves the needs of children by addressing their well-being and the environments where they learn and grow. This new framework includes expanding access to healthy and nutritious food, closing the literacy gap with professional one-on-one tutoring for over 10,000 students and providing access to hundreds of thousands of free, culturally affirming books and revitalizing school sports programs so that all students can experience the benefits and joys of youth sports. With ‘Whole Child, Whole School’ focused on transforming school environments where kids eat, learn and play every day, Eat. Learn. Play. has helped redesign 14 cafeterias, modernize 3 libraries and remodel 17 schoolyards and six gymnasiums across OUSD schools, to date.
Eat. Learn. Play.’s 17th school transformation was made possible by dedicated supporters including the NBA, Golden State Warriors, Kaiser Permanente, OUSD, Curry Brand, Under Armour, Workday, Google.org, 2K Foundations, JPMorganChase, Ripple, Joie, Lineage, DGDG Does Good and PG&E Corporation Foundation.
